Abbotsford has had every type of weather this March, with snow, hail, rain and intermittent sunshine, and looking at historic norms, Environment Canada says t it has been a colder-than-normal March in the city.

The average temperature for this month is typically a high of 11.4 C and a low of 2.3 C, but so far Abbotsford has been seeing an average high of only 7.9 C, and a chilly 1.8 C for the low.

There is a trough of cold air above us that has brought six snow days for the month, most with just trace amounts of snowfall and most of it falling on March 16, and a total of 6.7 cm for the month. The normal amount for Abbotsford is 3.7 cm of snowfall for March.

There is another snow day in the forecast Tuesday.
