Cobs Bread is opening soon at Abbotsford’s Highstreet Shopping Centre.

A Facebook page for the new business was created on March 2 and it states the location will be opening sometime in the spring.

This will be the second location for Cobs Bread in Abbotsford, as there is already one found on Gladwin Road.

The Highstreet location shares it is is family-run local bakery that bakes fresh every day. Cobs is known for donating unsold bread at the end of the day and always bakes fresh items daily.

Highstreet social media shared that they have been “kneading to to see this space filled, and we are so excited to announce what is coming” – further indicating a bread related business.

The location for the new store will be H175, which is found on the south side of the mall.

Cobs Bread entered the Canadian market in 2003 and now has over 130 bakeries in five provinces. The parent company of Cobs is Bakers Delight, which was established in Australia in 1980. The brand also owns bakeries in New Zealand and the United States.

In other Highstreet news, West Coast Leather has opened in unit G100. The retailer is a motorcycle apparel manufacturer and distributor that has been in operation since 1998. They carry items such as jackets, vests, gloves, pants and helmets.
