A number of Abbotsford homes are now sparkling for the holidays.
Here is a list of some of the Christmas light displays that can be viewed, as supplied to The News by homeowners.
To add your display to the list, send an email to newsroom@abbynews.com with your address, a description of your display, hours of operation and whether donations are being accepted. Submissions may also be dropped off at The News office at 34375 Gladys Ave.
You may also include a photo if you wish.
2 7708 Signal Court:
This year the Lewis family is featuring m ore than 24,000 lights. Their display includes a 21-foot mega-tree, sleigh and reindeer with Yoda at the reigns, a huge Canucks logo, l ots of wintery characters, and the Grinch looking down over it all. Viewing hours are 5 to 11 p.m. nightly until Dec. 31.
34229 Woodbine Cres (photo at left).:
Large decorated live palms trees and other unique items are featured daily from 4 p.m. to midnight.
33232 Keats Court and 1675 Keats St.:
The homes of Mel and MaryAnne Myhre and Rick and Lorraine Sempowich feature displays that include stars, wreaths, lighted bushes, Santa and his sleigh and reindeer, and thousands of lights. View nightly from 5 to 11 p.m. until Dec. 31.
34339 Harris Rd.:
Ken and Mary Peters have a display of mostly white lights on a three-acre rural property. It is a Christmas wonderland of trees and bushes decorated in an artistic three-dimensional fashion.
2281 Rosewood Drive (photo at left):
Doug Ring has been busy again this year decorating with thousands of lights, many figures and the sounds of Christmas music. The lights are on from 5 to 11 p.m. each night. The neighbours have also added their touch, making the whole street worthy of a drive-by.
33385 Townshipline Rd.:
This property features one of the largest and longest
standing displays in Abbotsford, covering two acres. Too many lights to count and more than 100 figurines and rare display items acquired in the past 40 years. On nightly from 5 to 10:30 p.m. until Jan. 1.
2924 Royal Street (photo at left):
The Herd/Kasper home features thousands of lights showcasing a range of traditional holiday figures and favourite characters, including Frosty the Snowman, Elmo, Tigger, Snoopy and Winnie the Pooh. The display is lit up nightly from 5 to 10 p.m.
27792 Pullman Ave.: The Worsfolds host a display nightly from 5 p.m. to midnight until Jan. 1.
