Car pinned between building and utility box in Saturday crash

At least one person was brought to the hospital after a car was pinned between a building and a utility box near the Costco in Abbotsford.

At least one person was brought to the hospital after a car was pinned between a building and a utility box near the Costco in Abbotsford.

A crash involving a small car and a pickup truck ended with the car pinned between a building and a utility box near the Costco in Abbotsford.

The crash occurred around 1 p.m. off of McConnnell Road.

Abbotsford Fire Rescue Service crews and Abbotsford Police Department officers were on scene, as the roof of the car was cut to extricate the female driver of the car.

APD Sgt. Judy Bird said the driver suffers from a medical condition which may have caused the crash and made the dramatic rescue neccessary.

The woman was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
