‘Wilson’ is involved in the St. John Ambulance Dog Therapy Program. A calendar is currently being sold to raise funds for the program and other services provided by the organization.

A calendar featuring photos of dogs involved in the St. John Ambulance Dog Therapy Program will raise money for the program and other St. John Ambulance services.

Dogs and their handlers involved in the program visit seniors’ homes, hospitals and schools throughout the year to bring warmth and comfort where it is needed most.

Three of the dogs featured in the calendar are from Abbotsford.

The calendars cost $10 for a small version and $15 for a large one. They are available online at sja.ca/therapydogs, by emailing abbotsford@bc.sja.ca or calling 604-853-8700.

St. John Ambulance volunteers provide first-aid service at community gatherings and sports/recreational events, as well as playing a vital role in the areas of emergency preparedness and response during a disaster.

The organization also provides opportunities for youth which include first-aid and health-care training, volunteer community services, camping, and recreational activities.
