The annual BerryBeat Festival will be held this weekend in Abbotsford.

The 33rd annual Berrybeat Festival in Historic Downtown Abbotsford takes place this weekend.

The event runs from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, when the streets are closed to traffic in the downtown core, including Essendene and Montrose avenues.

A strawberry pancake breakfast, running from 8 to 10 a.m. on Saturday at a minimal cost, is hosted by Legal Grounds Coffee House at 33775 Essendene Ave.

Free stage entertainment throughout the festival includes an acoustic stage at Mac & Mango’s patio on Montrose Avenue, a stage near the RDM building at the corner of Pauline and Essendene, and the main stage at the corner of Essendene and West Railway.

Street entertainers include the Vancouver International Buskers and magician Gary Savard and Coco.

Other features include food vendors, a bouncy house, a rock climbing wall by donation to Fraser Valley Child Development Centre, mini golf, Radical Raptors Falconry displaying birds of prey, The Reptile Guy, and the Brickville Lego Adventure.
