A bank robber made off with an undisclosed amount of cash from a Mission bank on July 26.

The Mission RCMP received a call at 3:47 p.m. from employees of the Bank of Montreal on the 32000 Block of Lougheed Highway, reporting a man had handed a note to the bank teller demanding money, said Cpl. Jason Raaflaub, media relations officer for detachment.

After taking the cash, the suspect was seen walking south towards the rear of the bank. RCMP officers arrived on scene at 3:50 p.m., Raaflaub said.

The suspect is described as white, in his late 20s, no visible facial hair (he wore a mask), tall and slim, and wearing a pink collared shirt, and a black baseball cap.

The Mission RCMP Serious Crime Unit is working with the Real Time Intelligence Centre to identify the suspect, and have notified the Abbotsford Police Department of the incident, Raaflaub said.

CTTV footage and still photos of the suspect were obtained by investigators, who are asking anyone who can identify him to contact the non-emergency line, or anonymously through Crimestoppers BC at 1 800 222 8477.
