Calls to Abbotsford police now go through a call centre in Vancouver.
The Abbotsford Police Department became the first municipal police force outside Metro Vancouver to join E-Comm on Tuesday. It is the 18th partner to join the regional dispatching hub.
The switch over happened at exactly 7:33 a.m and 21 minutes later, an E-Comm dispatcher received a report of a fire in Abbotsford, which he or she transferred to the Fraser Valley Regional Fire Dispatch centre.
