All playgrounds and skateboard parks in the City of Abbotsford are now closed.
The city and school district announced Monday that the playground and skateparks would be closed until further notice to prevent the further spread of COVID-19 through the community.
While children seem to be less likely to show symptoms of the new coronavirus, it’s still unclear what role they play in the transmission of COVID-19.
The City of Chilliwack had closed playgrounds on Friday.
