The 2023 BC Assessment numbers were released earlier this week, with Abbotsford properties rising in assessed value.
A single-family home’s property value increased by nine per cent, while a strata home rose by 21 per cent for the second consecutive year.
The News also received numbers on the top 10 highest property value for residential properties in Abbotsford for 2023. Here are those 10 properties:
1) 30709 North Burgess Avenue – $6.986 million
Known as Mountain View County Estate, this 15,000-square-foot property is the former home of Nickelback lead singer Chad Kroeger. It features a hockey rink, an indoor pool and hot tub and an outdoor waterfall pool. The property features six bedrooms and seven bathrooms and was built in 1990. It also includes a hip roof barn with four large birthing stalls, a riding ring, a paddock and a guest house.
2) 32288 King Rd. — $6.712 million
This near 15,000-square-foot home features seven bedrooms, 12 bathrooms and 12.3 acres of total land. It was also ranked as the highest residential property value in 2022 when it was assessed at $6.529 million. The home features a 700-foot tree-lined driveway and a large fountain. It was last sold on March 31, 2020.
3) 29905 Marshall Rd. Extension – $6.582 million
The home contains three bedrooms and five bathrooms and close to 9,500 square feet, and the property also includes a whopping 36.89 acres of total land.
4) 29488 58 Ave. — $6.156 million
This Bradner house is one of the largest single-family homes in Canada, with a living space of almost 45,000 square feet. It includes nine bedrooms and eight bathrooms, a cathedral-like exterior, expansive vaulted foyer, commercial grade kitchen, conservatory, and even a tunnel that leads to a pool house and swimming pool. It was ranked second in 2022 and valued at $6.033 million.
5) 30060 Harris Rd. – $5.946 million
The 2017 home includes 10 bedrooms and 11 bathrooms and close to 10,000 square feet, as well as 15.97 acres of total land. Last year it also sat in fourth place and was valued at $5.57 million.
6) 2811 Ross Rd. – $5.463 million
The 2017 home contains 10 bedrooms and 13 bathooms and close to 15,000 square feet. It also includes five acres of land. Last year it also sat in fifth place and was valued at $5.405 million.
7) 4986 Beharrell Rd. — $5.458 million
Known as the Bos Estate, this property is situated on 40 acres and offers views of the Fraser Valley, Fraser River and North Shore Mountains. It is a brand new entry to the top 10 and was built in 2010.
8) 1279 Leufevre Rd. — $5.454 million
This 2018 built home features eight bedrooms and eight bathrooms. It is also brand new entry into the top 10.
9) 1116 Gladwin Rd. — $5.398 million
This 2014 home includes nine bedrooms and eight bathrooms in an over 10,000-square-foot home. It also includes 10.67 acres of land, some of which contains raspberry fields. It was ranked sixth in 2022 and valued at $5.337 million.
10) 30159 Marshall Rd. Extension — $5.385 million
The 2020 home is the newest property on the list and includes eight bedrooms, nine bathrooms and over 10,000 square feet. It also contains 8.624 acres of land. It was ranked seventh in 2022 and was valued at $5.099 million.
