Rick Guenther's bid to become president of the B.C. Teachers' Federation has come up short.
The Abbotsford man lost to current president Susan Lambert, who will serve a third term as the head of the BCTF.
Guenther was defeated by a vote of 429 to 238 during the union's annual general meeting today.
The BCTF is expected to announce its protest plan after the AGM ends tonight and take a recommendation to the union's 41,000 members for approval.
