An Abbotsford teen has made it into the top 10 of an international model search.
Sydney Campbell is a finalist in the ninth annual ITM (International Top Model) Search taking place Thursday, June 6 at the River Rock Show Theatre in Richmond.
The winner receives $10,000 in prizes, including an all-expenses-paid trip to China to represent ITM and North America in the New Silk Road Model Look Contest.
The finalists are selected from among hundreds of applicants, who are narrowed down through an interview process.
They then spend six weeks in intensive training with the industry’s top directors, designers, photographers and makeup artists. It all culminates in the Glamour Finale Show, where the winner is selected.
Meanwhile, the public can vote online at www.cntvna.com/ITM2013/ for their favourite model.
Last year, Julia Duckett, then 15, of Abbotsford placed third in the ITM competition.
Two Abbotsford teens have previously won the event: Jillian Halldorson in 2009 and Meagan Klop in 2011. Both were 17 years old at the time.
