With summer now officially underway the temperatures are rising. Environment Canada indicates that both Sunday and Monday will have temperatures in the low to mid 30’s. The UV index is expected to register 9 or very high. If you are heading to the beach, water park, pool or lakes remember to take sunscreen protection and lots of water. The medical health office strongly recommends that you hydrate often in this weather in order to prevent sun stroke. Use of high numbered sun screen will also help prevent painful sun burns. Enjoy the long weekend but use caution when outdoors.
