A suspect in two bank robberies in Abbotsford last week is also believed to be connected to a similar incident in Langley last month.

Langley RCMP said the suspect walked into the Willowbrook CIBC on 64 Avenue on April 27, produced a note, indicated he had a weapon and demanded money.

He then fled in an older-model grey or brown van.

Abbotsford Police Const. Ian MacDonald said the man is believed to be the same suspect in bank robberies that took place in the 32400 and 32000 blocks of South Fraser Way on Tuesday, May 5 and Thursday, May 7 (in photo at left) respectively.

In those two cases, the man also produced a note, demanding cash. In the robbery on May 5, he implied that he had a weapon, but in the second incident, he showed a weapon in his waistband.

The suspect in all three robberies is described as Caucasian, in his 30s, with a medium build and between 5' 10" to six feet tall.

Police have released images obtained from video surveillance from all three incidents.
