The Abbotsford Police Department (APD) is asking for witnesses to come forward who may have witnessed a collision last Wednesday (Feb. 22) that resulted in the death of a pedestrian.
The incident took place at 7:30 p.m. in the 33400 block of Marshall Road, where a Chevy Venture van struck a pedestrian.
The 79-year-old pedestrian was taken to hospital, where she died of her injuries a few hours later.
The 52-year-old female driver of the van remained on scene and has co-operated with the investigation.
Investigators are now looking for witnesses, specifically the driver and/or passengers of a white Toyota Corolla that drove west through the area moments before the collision between the pedestrian and the van.
