Abbotsford Police promote 'back to school' road safety

Abbotsford Police have launched a social media campaign to remind drivers to slow down and stay alert as students return to school.

The campaign, taking place on Twitter and Facebook, repeats the theme “Stay alert. Slow down.Think safe.” and reminds drivers to follow the posted speed limit of 30km/h in school zones, which came back into effect on Tuesday morning.

The zone is in effect from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on school days.
