The Abbotsford Centre, managed by Global Spectrum, has been ranked Western Canada’s number one arena for venues between 5,001 to 10,000 capacity, according to Venues Today, a publication covering arenas, stadiums and convention centres.

According to the publication, the Abbotsford Centre drew 64,598 guests to 38 different events, grossing $2,297,282 during a period which featured the venue’s highest attended event, tobyMac on Feb. 21, and other sold-out shows including Florida Georgia Line and local rockers Hedley.

The Abbotsford Centre was named number two in Canada in the same category as the Global Spectrum-managed General Motors Centre in Oshawa, Ont. led the category.

Rankings are based solely on ticket sales to concerts and family shows for the period of July 1, 2013 through June 30, 2014 and do not include ticket sales to sporting events.
