Abbotsford cellphone store robbed at gunpoint

Incident took place Saturday at business on South Fraser Way

A cellphone store in Abbotsford was robbed at gunpoint by two men on Saturday evening.

Const. Ian MacDonald said the Abbotsford Police Department (APD) received a call just after 6:30 p.m. that night, reporting that the store in the 32300 block of South Fraser Way had been robbed.

Two men, who had their faces partially covered by a mask or cloth, entered the business and demanded money from the 37-year-old male employees. One of the men brandished a handgun.

The suspects grabbed two Samsung cellphones from a display case and fled the business on foot. The employee was not harmed.

Both suspects are described as Caucasian and between 20 and 30 years old. They both wore dark-coloured baseball caps and gloves.

One was about six feet tall and also wore a light-coloured jacket and pants. The other was over six feet tall.
