The Abbotsford Arts Council held the 12th annual Arty Awards tonight (Saturday) at the Matsqui Centennial Auditorium.
The event recognized outstanding contributions by individuals and groups in 11 juried categories. The winners are:
Outstanding Performing Artist in Dance – Lineke Van Kleek
Outstanding Performing Artist in Music – Joel Noftle
Outstanding Culinary Artist – Cassie Crocco
Outstanding Performing Artist in Theatre – Andrew Gillott
Outstanding Literary Artist – Carrie Wachsmann
Outstanding Visual Artist in Digital Media and Photography – Andrew Simpson
Outstanding Visual Artist in Traditional Media – Shannon Thiesen
Outstanding Student Artist – Ella McCallum
Outstanding Post-Secondary student artist – Kendra Schellenberg
Outstanding Arts Organization – Louden Singletree
Christine Caldwell Arts Advocate Award – Alisha Deddens
Lifetime Achievement Award – Freddy Latham
