With a changing climate bringing warmer, drier summers – even here on the West Coast – water-efficient fixtures that also provide an exceptional experience offer real value.

After all, while few of us feel good about wasting water, we also know that nothing compares to a great shower, whether it’s your morning wake-up or your ideal way to wind down after a long day!

Enter Moen’s new Nebia shower system.

So, how do you bring together the best of both worlds?

The secret is in the nozzles, says Michelle Braden, Marketing & Communications Manager for Splashes Bath & Kitchen.

Like many of today’s favourite innovations, from on-demand hot water to super-efficient dual-flush toilets and bidet seats, Nebia’s success is rooted in a perfect balance of ingenuity and technology. The result creates the sensation of more water while actually using less!

“Atomizing nozzles use pressure and geometry to control the dispersion and break up of fluid streams,” explains the Nebia team. “Using the same software used to study jet engines, we modelled the fluid mechanics and thermal properties of the water as it flows out of Nebia’s nozzles.”

Or, more simply, instead of a straight stream of water a standard shower nozzle produces, Nebia’s nozzles use Nebia’s H2Micro technology to produce smaller, faster droplets in precise patterns. The result is an outstanding shower experience that provides optimal warmth, rinsing and body coverage, while also saving up to 65 per cent of water compared to a standard shower!

How do they do it? The smaller droplets create a signature spa-like experience, like an enveloping cloud of water droplets, steam and air. At the same time, because the droplets travel faster than standard showers, they provide more rinsing power per unit of water than other showers.

Oh, and the design is pretty dynamic too. It’s really the ideal melding of form and function, with a little fun along the way!
