A weekend of fast-paced, hard-hitting roller derby action is returning to Chilliwack, and skaters will be raising money for a good cause.

NWO Roller Derby will host its annual Daze of Derby fundraiser tournament on Nov. 9 and 10 at the Landing Sports Centre (45530 Spadina Ave.) in Chilliwack. Money raised goes towards the Chilliwack Bowls of Hope Society.

A total of 12 teams from B.C., Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Washington State will be taking part in the two-day event.

There will also be raffles, 50/50 draws, vendors, and food trucks.

The first whistle is at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday (Nov. 9) and 10 a.m. on Sunday (Nov. 10). Entry for spectators is by donation.

The Chilliwack Bowls of Hope Society provides meals to more than 900 children in the Chilliwack School District.
