VIDEO: Abbotsford fire crews battle blaze at central Abbotsford townhouse complex

Fire broke out in townhouse complex just after 11 a.m. on McKenzie Road, north of Highway 1

Fire crews quickly snuffed out a fire at a townhouse complex in central Abbotsford on Friday morning.

The fire erupted in a storage unit at a townhouse complex on 1751 McKenzie Road, just north of Highway 1. Although it briefly sent heavy smoke over the area, firefighters arriving on the scene were able to bring it quickly under control.

Ambulance and police also attended the scene.

A neighbour told The News that the unit was number #32 and that flames could be visible as high as the second floor.
