Jamey Jensen, 25, didn’t show up to Chilliwack court May 15 for a scheduled disposition on charges of, among other things, mail theft, identity theft and mischief under $5,000.

A 25-year-old prolific offender scheduled to be sentenced on 10 charges connected to four files on three different dates in 2017 was a no-show in Chilliwack provincial court on Monday.

Jamey Kenneth Jensen’s name was on the docket for disposition and pre-sentencing reports on charges of identity theft, mail theft, possession of stolen property, possession of break-in instrument, mischief $5,000 or under and a number of breaches of probation.

Since 2015, Jensen has been before the court dozens of times with many breaches connected to files in Hope, Agassiz, Chilliwack and Abbotsford.

His lawyer Derwin Petri did not oppose Crown’s application for a warrant to be issued when Jensen did not show up for sentencing on May 15. Judge Robert Gunnell issued the warrant at 10:23 a.m.

This isn’t the first time even this year a warrant has been issued for Jensen. In February his face and description were made public when was wanted for a number of alleged crimes.

By Tuesday he was in custody and appeared via video from Surrey Pre-Trial.
