The Selxwí:chel Arts and Culture Day (formerly Aboriginal Arts and Culture Day) took place at Trethewey House Heritage Site in Abbotsford on Sunday (June 9).
In recognition of Indigenous history month, Selxwí:chel Arts and Culture Events along with Heritage Abbotsford Society puts on the event for the community.
Attendees could watch artists create their work on site and purchase directly from them. There was also Metis jigging, fiddling, dancing, spoken word, a drum making workshop, face painting, a kids play area, storytellers and other live performances. A food truck was also on site.
