The Fraser Valley Invasive Species Society is offering a Tansy Ragwort Curbside Pickup Aug. 15 to Aug. 27 (FVISS)

It's an invasive plant about to go to seed across the Fraser Valley region.

The Fraser Valley Invasive Species Society is offering a Tansy Ragwort Curbside Pickup from Aug. 15 to Aug. 27 in a range of communities.

"Tansy ragwort is in full bloom and needs to be managed before it spreads," the post reads.

The plant with small daisy-like yellow flowers is harmful to livestock and native ecosystems. Anyone who spots it can hand-pull the plants.

Residents are asked to bag it up, preferably in clear bags, and they'll handle the rest.

The curbside service is only open to residents of Chilliwack, Abbotsford, and FVRD Electoral Areas C, D, E, G, and H.

Contact them to provide a pickup address and number of bags at info@fviss.ca.

"Our team will come to collect them."
