Locals are asked to follow signs, obey traffic control in the area and respect private property along the route.
Bus service in the area will also be disrupted during the event. A map of scheduled bus re-routing is available through the Central Fraser Valley Transit website at bctransit.com/central-fraser-valley.
The route sees the procession begin at the temple at 30640 Blueridge Dr. and follow that street east to Townshipline Road. They will then head south all the way to Southern Drive and then eventually follow Sandpiper Drive to Goldfinch Street.

Thousands typically take part in the event, which involves transporting Sikhism’s holy scripture, Guru Granth Sahib, on a float through the streets while singing devotional hymns.
