Chilliwack RCMP seeking 2 women who intervened in park assault

Police say alleged assault in Salish Park on Oct. 23 had 2 assailants

Police are seeking witnesses to an assault that occurred in a downtown park last month including two women who may have tried to help the victim.

Chilliwack RCMP officials say the alleged assault in Salish Park was reportedly between a victim and two assailants, and it occurred on Oct. 23, 2023 somewhere between 6 p.m. and 11 p.m.

“This incident attracted the attention of two females who reportedly intervened and assisted the victim,” said RCMP Cpl. Carmen Kiener.

The witnesses were described as two “Caucasian women with brown hair” and police are seeking to identify them.
