Chilliwack MLA Warbus named house leader in Rustad's shadow cabinet

MLA Heather Maahs given portfolio for 'Indigenous Self-Government in Child and Family Services' in Conservative shadow cabinet

Á’a:líya Warbus, MLA for Chilliwack-Cultus Lake, earned the top leadership position in John Rustad's shadow cabinet, having been named house leader for the Conservative Party of B.C. on Nov. 19.

The Conservative leader said he was unveiling a "a dynamic team of talented individuals" who will try to hold David Eby’s government accountable in health care, public safety and addictions, the release said.

Rustad emphasized the "historic" aspect of naming Warbus as house leader.

“Our shadow cabinet is a diverse and experienced group, committed to restoring prosperity, public safety, and affordability for every British Columbian,” said Rustad. “With experts in every field, we are focused on delivering real solutions for the challenges our province faces.”
