A winning Maxmillions lottery ticket from the Lotto Max draw on Tuesday, Aug. 13 was sold in Abbotsford.

Someone who purchased a Lotto Max ticket in Abbotsford is $500,000 richer today.

The BC Lottery Corporation website indicates that a ticket sold in Abbotsford is a winner of a Maxmillions prize from the draw on Tuesday, Aug. 13.

The winning ticket has the numbers 1, 3, 4, 11, 23, 31 and 33, and splits a $1 million prize with a ticket from Ontario.

Lotto Max is a twice-weekly lottery with jackpots that start at $10 million and grow up to $70 million.

When the jackpot reaches $50 million, there are additional prizes – called Maxmillions – of $1 million offered.

Tuesday’s Lotto Max jackpot was at $70 million – there was no winner – with 41 Maxmillions prizes up for grabs. Of those, there were 14 matches.

Friday’s jackpot remains at $70 million, and 42 Maxmillions prizes available.
