The rehabilitation team at the Cottage and Worthington Pavilion received a Tactilus High-Performance Seating Pad Sensor System from the Fraser Valley Health Care Foundation.

The residents at Cottage and Worthington Pavilion will soon be more comfortable than ever before thanks to a new piece of tech courtesy of the Fraser Valley Health Care Foundation.

With the help of the Tactilus High-Performance Seating Pad Sensor System, the staff at the Abbotsford long-term care facility are now able to more effectively prevent injuries from occurring and improve the overall happiness among the residents.

This new system is equipped with a series of advanced pressure-measuring tools that provide staff with optimal seating, positioning, and wheelchair cushioning for residents.

"This advanced technology enables us to accurately assess and monitor patients at risk of pressure ulcers, ensuring timely interventions and enhancing the quality of care they receive," the Cottage and Worthington Pavilion rehabilitation team said.

The Cottage and Worthington Pavilion is located near the Abbotsford Regional Hospital and is home to more than 100 elderly residents.
