Abbotsford police used a spike belt to stop a vehicle allegedly involved in property crime last night (April 8).

A spike belt was used to stop a dangerous driver allegedly involved in property crime in Abbotsford on Tuesday night (April 8). 

According to a social media post from the Abbotsford Police Department, a 36-year-old Abbotsford man with an "extensive criminal history" is awaiting a court appearance on Wednesday (April 9) for breaching court-ordered conditions and driving while prohibited. 

Police say the spike belt punctured three tires, bringing the vehicle to a stop.
