Abbotsford police seize cash, drugs after officer witnesses transaction

Street value of fentanyl, cocaine and meth estimated at $5,000 in addition to $3,500 in cash

An Abbotsford Police Department patrol officer witnessed a drug transaction and discovered over $8,000 worth of drugs and cash, police say.

The Abbotsford Police Department (APD) seized drugs and cash worth over $8,000 in total street value on Wednesday (Jan. 15).

According to a social media post shared by the department on Thursday (Jan. 16),  a patrol officer witnessed the drug transaction before making an arrest. 

Police say a search revealed $3,500 in cash to go along with five ounces of fentanyl, cocaine, and meth with a street value of $5,000.

"Proactive policing by our Patrol officers plays a vital role in keeping our streets safe from criminal activity," APD said.
