Abbotsford Police and ICBC hosting first-ever motorcycle skills challenge

Free event will allow participants to test skills course, get feedback and gain knowledge about safety

The Abbotsford Police Department and ICBC are teaming up to host an event for motorcycle riders.

The skills challenge will be on May 18 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Northview Church (32040 Downes Rd.) parking lot.

Participants will have the opportunity to navigate a skills course. Police with motorcycle experience will provide tips and guidance.

All riders must have a class six licence, class six learners or class eight with a supervisor. Participants are also required to wear proper safety equipment and bring an insured and legal motorcycle.

The event is to encourage motorcyclists of all abilities to test their skills in a safe setting and learn more about motorcycle safety.
