Brian Scudamore, founder and CEO of 1-800-Got-Junk, joins the cast of the hit TV show Dragons' Den. He will be in Abbotsford on Sept. 25 for a presentation and panel discussion about the new season.

Fans of the hit CBC show Dragons’ Den can get a sneak peek of the new season during an event at Clearbrook Library in Abbotsford on Wednesday, Sept. 25.

The event runs from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and includes a panel discussion and question-and-answer session.

Among the featured guests is Brian Scudamore, CEO and founder of the business 1-800-Got-Junk.

Scudamore joins the new season of Dragons’ Den, which starts Sept. 26, as a Dragon – one of five business moguls who hear pitches from aspiring entrepreneurs who are hoping to secure business financing and partnerships.

A high school dropout, at 18 years old Scudamore bought a $700 pickup truck to start a one-man junk removal service in Vancouver.

Today, that business has 174 franchises across Canada, the US and Australia.

Joining Scudamore at the event at Clearbrook Library are Dragons’ Den producer Molly Middleton, who was born and raised in Abbotsford, and local entrepreneurs who will share their wisdom of what it takes to build your own business.

Also at the event, a sneak peek will be shown of the new season, and a Richmond business – Ryercat – that is featured in the premiere will be highlighted.

Registration for the event is limited and can be done at fvrl.bc.ca under “events.”

Clearbrook Library is located at 32320 George Ferguson Way.
