Skate
On the ice, Abbotsford has several high-quality facilities for hockey and other sports. The twin-rinks facility, Centre Ice at 3600 Townline Rd., has become the nerve centre of the hockey community. MSA Arena, at 2323 Emerson St., is another popular location, seating 1,000 fans. Abbotsford Recreation Centre also boasts boasts an Olympic-sized rink which is used for hockey and speed skating.
Swim
Matsqui Recreation Centre, located at 3106 Clearbrook Rd., is commonly referred to as The Wave Pool. This indoor swimming experience has a slide, diving boards, pools, a sauna, hot tub and a shallow beach area where waves crash every 15 minutes. It also boasts a skating rink.
Meanwhile, the Abbotsford Recreation Centre, at 34890 Old Yale Rd., also has a fantastic indoor pool, which offers leisure and adult swims, toonie swims, aqua fitness and more.
