A pilot is helped from the cockpit of his plane after it crashed onto a walking path in Chilliwack, on the morning of Sept. 28.

A small airplane crashed into a bike path close to the Chilliwack Airport Saturday morning (Sept. 28).

There were no serious injuries and nobody hurt on the path, known as the Valley Rail Trail. The plane crashed into a fence, and the pathway was still accessible for passersby shortly after the pilot was transported from the scene.

First responders accessed the trail from Airport Road.
