Man, woman taken to hospital after pickup collides with e-bike in Mission

A man and woman were taken to hospital after their bike crashed with a pickup truck in Mission on Thursday (May 1).

A 30-year-old man and 29-year-old woman were taken to hospital on Thursday (May 1) after their e-bike collided with a pickup truck in Mission.

According to Mission RCMP, the pair were riding an e-bike westbound on Dewdney Trunk Road near Cedar Street around 5:15 p.m. when they hit the passenger side of a blue 2019 Ford F-150 that was making a left turn into a driveway in front of them.  

Per the release, both e-bike riders suffered "significant" leg injuries and one was airlifted to the hospital.  

Police say impairment isn't believed to have been a factor in the crash and an investigation is ongoing.
