The Fraser Valley Watercolour Society will host its annual spring 2011 art show from Tuesday, May 10, until Friday, May 20 at the Clearbrook Library, 32320 Dahlstrom Ave.

The Fraser Valley Watercolour Society will host its annual spring 2011 art show from Tuesday, May 10, until Friday, May 20 at the Clearbrook Library, 32320 Dahlstrom Ave.

The show will feature a range of original works by local artists and will be open to the public during library hours. The show opening is on Tuesday, May 10 at 3 p.m.

The artists will be present at an artists’ reception on Wednesday, May 11 from 7-8 p.m.

The featured artists are Bryan Robberts and Myles Mathis.

Walking With The Masters

Mountain Elementary, 2299 Mountain Dr., will turn its school into a gallery for the families of its students on Wednesday, May 11 from 6-8 p.m.

The event, called Walking With The Masters, will showcase a variety of visual art styles and compositions. Student musicians will also be playing in the foyer.

Parents can purchase the student art to help fundraise for Run For Water.

Music festival

The Well Tempered Dance Floor is being presented by the Mission Folk Music Festival on Friday, May 13 at 8 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Hall, 32557 7th Avenue, Mission.

The evening will be a mini-festival of music, song, and dance, open to all ages. The event will feature Matt Gordon, Boris Sichon, Jennie Bice, Francis Xavier, with special guests, The Gallus Brothers.

Proceeds from the concert will go to support the 24th annual Mission Folk Music Festival.

Tickets are $18 in advance and $20 at the door. Kids, 17 and under, are $10. For more info, visit  www.missionfolkmusicfestival.ca.
