Two concerts on the weekend

Horizon and Groovedaddy play at Abbotsford's Mill Lake on Saturday.

This week’s Envision Concert in the Park will bring double the fun for concert goers. Earlier in the season, one of the concerts was cancelled due to poor weather and organizers have rescheduled it to take place before this Saturday’s originally scheduled performers. The Envision Concert in the Park Series, which is now in its fifth season, is presented by the Abbotsford Arts Council in partnership with Envision Financial and offers local residents the opportunity to relax and enjoy local entertainment—all at no cost.

This Saturday’s concerts, taking place at the Kariton Art Gallery on the shore of Mill Lake, feature:

Horizon at 4 p.m.

A wonderful blend of rock, blues, gospel and pop. They'll have you dancing to one tune and reminiscing to the next. They'll have you jiving to a song and trying your tango moves a couple of songs later.

Groovedaddy at 6 p.m.

Smooth Jazz, right down to your soul. Groovedaddy is relatively new as a working band but as individual musicians, they have attained a lifetime of experience playing in different bands together.
