The Reach hosts spring break camps

Two week-long camps designed to inspire kids' creativity.

The Reach Gallery and Museum will host spring break camps to help kids bring some creativity to their holidays.

The Art of Tinkering camp will be held March 17 to 21.

“We will journey through the art of 'tinkering' – where creativity, ingenuity, technology, group work, problem solving and art- making come together. This is the perfect camp for those who love to think outside the box,” said Jennifer Pride, education coordinator and artist.

The Art Cart Masterpieces camp will run March 24 to 28, and students will take inspiration from The Reach’s current exhibits.

“We’ll focus our attention on one of the five exhibitions and create amazing art projects based on what we see. (It’s) the best camp for those who just can’t get enough art in their day!”

Camps run for kids ages four to seven between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. and ages 8 to 13 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

The camps are $75 per child, and members of The Reach will receive 10 per cent off.
