Kariton Art Gallery, 2387 Ware St., will be hosting a seminar called The Art of Writing An Effective And Powerful Artistic Statement on March 16 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Christoper Friesen will be speaking at the event. Friesen is a painter, community advocate and an educator whose work has been shown extensively over Western Canada.
Christopher will present an overview of how an artist statement provides insight into an artist’s work and why this is such an important part of submitting your art to a gallery, competition or exhibition.
