Radio becomes reality with Concert in the Park Series

CIVL Radio part of weekly performances this Saturday at Mill Lake Park

Bob & Al Live will perform at a concert in Mill Lake Park.

On Saturday, Aug. 8 from 4 to 7:30 p.m., soak up some CIVL live music at Mill Lake Park (2387 Ware St.).

The evening begins with Brennan Sinclair, the second-place winner of CIVL Radio’s Battle of the Bands competition. He has brought his rhythmic blend of acoustic folk and pop to the Envision Financial Coffee House Concert Series as well as other Fraser Valley events venues.

Then, CIVL’s own Bob and Al pump some positive personality into the park with all the music, comedy, and magic of their weekly radio show, “Wake Up with Bob & Al!” live onstage.

Finally, mellow to the instrumental stylings of Petrichor, an Abbotsford-based acoustic duo who blend classical, folk and alternative music.

CIVL Radio 101.7 FM is the campus and community radio station run out of the University of the Fraser Valley. CIVL programming is available for online listening at CIVL.ca.
