The Abbotsford Arts Council has announced that it will be accepting nominations for the 10th annual Arty Awards until March 1.
Nomination forms, along with information on the categories and the process, can be found on the Abbotsford Arts Council’s website (abbotsfordartscouncil.org) or at the Kariton Art Gallery, 2387 Ware St.
The awards will be presented April 12 at the Matsqui Centennial Auditorium at a catered reception.
Awards will be presented in the following categories:
– Outstanding Artist in the Visual Arts – 2-Dimensional; – Outstanding Artist in the Visual Arts – 3-Dimensional;
– Outstanding Artist in the Visual Arts – New Media;
– Outstanding Artist in the Performing Arts – Dance; – Outstanding Artist in the Performing Arts – Music; – Outstanding Artist in the Performing Arts – Theatre;
– Outstanding Artist in the Literary Arts;
– Christine Caldwell Outstanding Arts Advocate Award; and
– Outstanding Arts Organization, All Genres.
As well, nominations for outstanding artists in elementary, secondary, and post-secondary schools will be accepted from local schools.
