Awards ceremony on Saturday, Sept. 22 at Reach Gallery Museum

Changes put in place for the 2017 Arty Awards will be retained for this year’s event.

These include categories that had been redesigned to include a wider representation and more fully reflect the current arts community as a whole.

Awards will be presented in the categories of: performing arts, lifestyle, media arts, youth achievement, literary arts, arts advocate, visual arts and emerging artist as well as the Lifetime Achievement Award.

In addition, Harry Doupe, a writer and producer with more than two decades of awards show experience, will return as Arty Awards coordinator.

The Reach Gallery Museum once again partners with the arts council as host venue.

The Arty Awards take place Saturday, Sept. 29.
