The art exhibit Earth Water Sky is a tribute to three basic elements that sustain life.

The Central Fraser Valley Graphic Guild is presenting the show at Kariton Gallery, May 3-28.

Water covers 71 per cent of the Earth’s surface and is vital for all known forms of life.  The solidity of the earth establishes the foundation on which we stand and walk, and the sky provides air to breathe.  Without earth, water and sky life could not exist and there would be no creativity and no art.

Artists find inspiration in the shapes and forms present in landscapes, by reflections in water and by the patterns in the clouds and the multitudes of colours during phenomena such as a sunset or sunrise, or from a rainbow.

There will be an opening reception on Sunday, May 5 from 1-4 p.m.

Kariton Gallery is located at 2387 Ware Street, Abbotsford and is open Tuesday to Friday from noon to 5 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
