The Abbotsford Arts Council has announced a call for musicians to submit applications to perform in the 2014 Envision Financial Coffee House Concert and Concert in the Park Series.
The two concert series provide local artists with the chance to perform in a relaxed and casual atmosphere while the community enjoys various musical genres such as jazz, blues, folk, country, rock and pop.
The 2014 concert series will consist of 28 to 32 concerts taking place every Saturday evening between mid-May and late November.
Concerts are hosted at participating coffee houses in Abbotsford as well as in Mill Lake Park at the Kariton Art Gallery outdoor stage.
Applications will be accepted until Feb. 17 and are available for download at abbotsfordartscouncil.org or for pickup at the Kariton Art Gallery, 2387 Ware St.
Bands with at least one member residing in the Fraser Valley are invited to apply.
The Abbotsford Arts Council is also seeking additional coffee house venues to host concerts. Interested venues are asked to send a letter of interest to abbotsfordartscouncil@gmail.com by Feb. 17.
