More rock stars to perform in Abbotsford

Maroon 5 and Train have confirmed a show at the AESC on Sept. 12.

Maroon 5 and Train have confirmed a fall date in Abbotsford.

The two bands, who are co-headlining a North American tour, will perform at the Abbotsford Entertainment and Sports Centre (AESC) on Monday, Sept. 12, doors opening at 6 p.m. and show starting at 7 p.m.

Double-platinum artist Matt Nathanson will also be featured.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. on May 13. The prices are $70.25, $60.25 and $50.25.

“Maroon 5 and Train are two of the hottest touring acts in the music industry” said Jason Blumenfeld, general manager at AESC.

“The doors are now open and the stage is set for more hot artists to perform at the venue. We're thrilled to have them and we are looking forward to the show this fall. ”

Other Canadian dates on the tour include a show in Toronto on Aug. 22, Winnipeg on Sept. 7, Saskatoon on Sept. 9 and Edmonton on Sept. 10.

Grammy award winning Maroon 5 released its third studio album Hands All Over in the United States on Sept. 21, 2010.

Since debuting in 2002, the band has sold over 10 million albums in the United States and nearly 15 million worldwide.

Multi-platinum band Train has made its mark on music history with its Grammy award winning song Drops of Jupiter and chart-topping singles Meet Virginia and Calling All Angels.
