This 1969 Hemi Dart tribute is one of many cars that will be at the Cruise-in.

The third annual Mill Lake Cruise-In – July 12 from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. – will feature performances by Topaz, Robyn & Ryleigh and Innerwild from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Mill Lake Park.

Co-ordinated by Pete and Robbie Zomar in partnership with the MSA Museum Society and Abbotsford Arts Council, the Cruise-In is open to all specialty vehicles and car clubs with room for more than 700 cars.

The event features anything from muscle cars, street machines, classic, veteran, hot rods, vintage cars, trucks and low-riders. With more than 400 cars last year, this year’s event is expected to be bigger and better.

Recently, July 12 was declared Collector Car Appreciation Day in B.C. by Royal Proclamation, and July as Collector Car Appreciation month.

In addition to the car show, the day’s festivities include trophies, dash plaques, vendors, food, live entertainment, door prizes, 50/50 tickets and a silent auction. The event is free and open to the public.

Vehicle pre-registration is $15 and available online at milllakecruisein2014.eventbrite.ca or in person at the Kariton Art Gallery (2387 Ware St.). All proceeds from the event go to the Abbotsford Arts Council and MSA Museum Society.

Non-perishable food items and cash donations will be accepted for Envision Financial’s Full Cupboard program.
