Alzheimer’s walk happens this Sunday in Victoria

Event aims to raise awareness, funds for support organization

The Investors Group Walk for Memories takes place Sunday (Jan. 26) to help raise awareness and funds for the fight against Alzheimer’s disease.

This year’s local walk is dedicated to Jack Hemphill, who suffers from Alzheimer’s, and his wife, Wenche.

Jack was involved with the Sierra Club of B.C. for more than 40 years, most recently as a board member.

The Walk for Memories begins at 10 a.m. at the Victoria Edelweiss Club, 108 Niagara St.
