Humanists host new CIVL radio show

Program begins Sunday, March 6 on Abbotsford station

A new radio show featuring the Fraser Valley Atheists, Skeptics and Humanists (FVASH) begins Sunday, March 6 on CIVL 101.7 FM.

FVASH has previously hosted lectures at University of the Fraser Valley, built homeless shelters and adopted a local park.

For the past couple of years, the group has hosted a podcast, called Left at the Valley, every two weeks on the website leftatthevalley.com.

The magazine-style podcast has aimed to bring stories, opinion and a hint of humour about secular issues not usually heard on mainstream media.

They have featured interviews from intellectuals such as Dr. Darrel Ray, hip hop artist Baba Brinkman and theoretical physicist professor Lawrence Krauss.

Their show on CIVL will air every Sunday from 1 to 2 p.m. The first episode, titled The Science of Magic, features a guest magician.
